Tom has always been fond of boating and is messing around with boats whenever he can.  Our dock can get fairly crowded with boats and we like to pull the small boats up onto the floating dock when they are not in use.  It always bothered him to drag boats in and out of the water across the edge of the dock.

Also, it was often difficult for older and younger folks to do this.

Over the years, we have seen quite a few homemade dock roller type devices. In our opinion, they all fit into one of three categories: 1.they mounted on the top of the dock, which made them a hazard to children playing and swimming; 2. they hung off the edge of the dock, which made them a hazard to boats coming and going from the dock or 3. they were somewhat portable and they were generally in the way or got kicked into the water.

It took a while to refine the design of the Dock Edge Roller™, but Tom wanted to create an “AHA” product that worked well, was built for the long haul and did not get in the way when it was not in use.  Our original prototype has been mounted to our floating dock on the coast of Maine since 2008- it is still working great! The float gets hauled out for the winter but it is still exposed to the elements year round. Due to health reasons, Tom is no longer active in the business, but the Milton family takes great pride in making it all happen.

The Dock Edge Roller™ takes it easy on the bottom of your boat, your dock and your back!  It also friction and makes it a lot easier to get boats in and out of the water- that means more quality time on the water.

Conceived in Maine…built in North Carolina…Made in USA
